Toni Braxton traded R&B for a little rock n’ roll on Friday night (Nov. 29) when she hopped onstage with Aerosmith to scream out the chorus of one of their most beloved songs.
During a performance of Deuces Are Wild, Aerosmith’s career-spanning residency, Steven Tyler made his way over to the singer, who’s been a fan of the rockers since her school days.
“I feel like I was in college again!” she wrote on Instagram. “He was my rock band crush! He’s a rock star for real!” Their duet was brief, but Tyler let her take the vocal reins for the lead part on the chorus of “Livin’ on the Edge” before he gave her a quick smooch and proceeded with the rest of the show.
It’s been a huge week for Braxton, who kicked hers off with a stunning performance of her iconic, chart-topping single “Un-Break My Heart” at the 2019 American Music Awards on Sunday (Nov. 24). Aerosmith, meanwhile, have enjoyed a successful run with Deuces Are Wild, as the residency, which opened in April, crossed the $35 million gross mark earlier this fall. The band has two remaining Vegas dates left for 2019, with the final show of the year taking place on Dec. 4.
